Why Website Design Matters in Lead Generation

It services

Website design matters. This is why almost half of the people surveyed state that it’s a determining factor in whether or not a company has credibility. The Nielson Norman Group recently released a report, “How Users Read on the Web,” that revealed how websites become successful. When websites have a clear and scannable layout, their usability improves by 47%. When these websites are also mobile-friendly, it can increase exposure significantly.

Lead generation is integral to a business’ success. While some businesses may use direct mail or print advertising to generate leads, others rely on their website’s search engine optimization (SEO). In some instances, a business may use all of these plus other strategies to maintain and increase their customer base.

B2B marketers claim that their primary challenge is to generate high-quality leads. This was the case with 61% of the marketers that responded to a recent survey. When it comes to the closing rate for leads, however, outbound leads tend to have a 1.7% close rate, while SEO leads have a 14.6% close rate.

When potential B2B or B2C clients conduct a search for products and/or services, 60% of the organic clicks will show the organic top 3 search results. Data shows that 50% of mobile users are looking for local results. Furthermore, 61% of these searches will result in a purchase.

Content also makes a significant impact on a website’s credibility, presence, and lead generation. It’s been shown that when B2B companies offer relevant content, that it can increase their web traffic by 55%. It’s also important to note that blogs generate 67% more leads than their counterparts that don’t blog.

If a business’ website isn’t attaining or exceeding its minimum traffic, leads, or sales goals, then it may be time to outsource to a managed IT services firm to provide network support and other essential services. Network monitoring for network security purposes can also be provided to protect data from viruses, hackers, and user error.

Data can, of course, be lost in several ways:

  • End-users deleting information: 47%
  • Users overwriting data: 17%
  • Hackers deleting information
  • Predictions indicate that within a year, 20% of all small businesses will be the victim of a hacker. This alone is a good reason to outsource network support services.

While more and more companies are storing some or all of their data, applications, and infrastructure on the cloud, 47% of these enterprises have still lost their data. As a result, they needed to restore this information from back-up systems. A network support service can provide these and other services.
